Subject:Lost fanfic
Security:Public

Hi I'm new here, so I hope nobody minds me posting about this. I'm just hoping to find a fanfic that I read years ago. It's a Jeeves/Wooster story in which I think Wooster ends up fighting in the war, but by that time, they have already established a deeper relationship than just employer/employee. They are separated as a result of a raid because of their relationship, and much of the story is spent apart from each other. I don't remember many other details, but it was a beautiful, touching story, written quite close to P.G. Wodehouse's style, with good characterization, at least as far as I can remember. I'm sad that I've never been able to find it again. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

Yeah so, I doodled at work and thought that if there was a place to air these awful drawings, in all the world, it would probably be this LJ community. To date, their reception has been but lukewarm in non-Wodehousian channels. So please enjoy, for what they are worth.  ~docawk / humanyouth

Well, first of all, hi everybody! I'm new to the comm and I'm also completely new to LiveJournal (having finally decided to sack up and join after years of lurking) so if I'm doing something wrong or this isn't the right place to post this, please do let me know.

The thing is, I've lost a fic. If it's not inappropriate and this is indeed the right place to ask, I was hoping someone might recognise it by description and could point me in the right direction. Details... behind the... cut? Is that right? I do hope so.

Hello!  It's been a while since I searched for Jeeves & Wooster smut and I am happy to have found this place!  I wrote my first ever Jeeves & Wooster story for queerfest.  It isn't smutty but I'm thinking of continuing it because I'm a big fan of smut (as you can tell from everything else I've ever written)!

Here's a link to my story at my journal.

By now I think most of us are familiar with the "Quirk Classics" series, especially "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." Several other books have gotten the quirk treatment since, and I personally would LOVE to see a Jeeves book with added content.

So far my best idea is to work werewolves into "The Code of the Woosters." The plot already involves silver, and an unusually angry gentleman with a secret. Seems to fit!

I'd love to hear some other ideas, if anyone else is interested in this.

(And yes, I have read that one story with the Eldritch abominations)

Hullo!  A community of fellow Wodehouse fans.  Woot.
For those of you who like audiobooks, www.librivox.org has recordings of many Wodehouse texts that are out of copyright.  This is an absolutely free site, and one worthy of support.

I have done a couple of wallpapers (one Stephen Fry as Jeeves, one Stephen being himself) and I thought I'd share them with you! Enjoy!

Cute? Indeed sir.

Title: Jeeves and the Experimental Explorer
Pairing: Jeeves/Bertie
Summary: A *complete* reversal of roles from what's always published in Jooster fiction. Bertie's entirely dominant & lasvicious, & Jeeves blushes quite a bit!  "Explorer" is a rather strong euphemism for Bertie's most prized possession, & the "experiment", ahem, refers to the stuff he introduces Jeeves to. Enjoy.
Rating: NC-17
Category: Established Relationship, PWP
Warning: Strong homosexual content.
Disclaimer: Tall talk & heady hangups. Wodehouse owns the boys, & I've no intention of shouldering that responsibility!

Title: No One the Wooster (Part 4-?)
Authors: hawk1701
Pairing: Jeeves/Wooster
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I don't even own a decent pair of shoes. . .  how could I own Jeeves and Wooster? In fact, when was the last time I had a decent meal . . .?
Author's note: I’m unsure when this takes place exactly. It’s from Jeeves' POV. As well as the quick note that I could never write like Wodehouse did, and perhaps this being from Jeeves' POV I don't have to, but I would like to express my respect for the jeeves/bertie writers out there who write in the true Wodehouse style, you are extraordinary and have my permanent awe. And thank you to everyone who's been good enough to comment and give support and wait for such a dashed long time for a no-good writer such as me to post the next part.
Summary: Jeeves had to deal with a drunk Bertie, things happened, he's been paid a visit by Aunt Agatha, confronted Bertie (or was it the other way around?) and now they have both been ordered to Woolam Chersey after hearing that Aunt Agatha has arranged for Bertie to be married, and there seems no way out of it . . .

Comments are love. My head is spinning right now, there's sort of a few important plot twists in this chapter, I'm a bit nervous about it, but then I'm a nervous sort of person, so let me know what you think.

What-ho! Sorry, sorry for the wait. With this and that and school and work and the price of milk these days I’ve been very caught up in non-writing activities. And I would normally post a longer chapter but managed to get this small bit done and am posting it now just to assure everyone (if I might be so bold as to claim I have faithful readers out there, if you are one of them, I bow to you most graciously) that I’m still working on this and there is more to come. But in the mean time . .  .

Hi!
I'm a new member here and I haven't read or seen much of Jeeves and Wooster, but:

Junior Ganymede Club

Honestly?
Is that a gay joke about "gentlemen's gentlemen?"
Obviously these jokes can be made.
But is it really P.G. Wodehouse making a gay joke?
Just wondering and thought you'd be the people to ask.

Hi all,

I'm a shiny new member to this community and I'd like to take up a few lines introducing myself, if I may.

I've been interested in Jeeves and Wooster for 3-4 years, first the audio books, then the more traditional paper sort of books and finally the tv series with the intellectual giant Stephen Fry and the incredibly adorable and dimpled Hugh Laurie. It has, however, taken me three years to link all this with the fact that yes, really other people with the same interest may just exist on LJ. *sigh*

Hopefully I'll be writing you some fanfic soon-ish, possibly even botching up some icons, you never know.

So here I am, champing at the bit for fanfiction and icons. Thank you for being here!

Hi, first post here :) I thought I'd mention a couple of things that might be of interest to fellow fans of J&W. First is a short piece I wrote for oxoniensis's most recent fic battle, The Moustache Affair. It's relatively G-rated and completely worksafe.

I also run britcomicontest, and this week our challenge is for Jeeves and Wooster icons! So please feel free to drop by and participate by making icons, voting for your favourites, or just admiring whatever loveliness gets created. Thanks! :)

What-ho Everyone! *waves*. My writing muse has recently discovered the joys of 'Jeeves and Wooster,' and this story is the result...

I have enjoyed playing in Jeeves' and Bertie's world so much, perhaps I should not be surprised that this tale turned out to be novella-length. Nevertheless, I am, a little.

The story is in seven parts, linked below from the community indeedsir, (where it was posted about a week ago).

I really hope you enjoy reading it, and it would be lovely to hear what you think :-)

Title: Jeeves and the Artistic Verisimilitude
Author: PurpleFluffyCat
Rating: Mostly G - PG-13, although the final chapter has an NC-17 slash-scene toward the end.
Characters: Bertie/Jeeves, with several of Bertie's crowd making an appearance along the way, and a couple of new faces.
Words: about 52,000 overall.
Genre: Chiefly Romance, with some Drama, Angst, Humour and Fluff.

Summary:

"Surely, one would think nothing could be more relaxing for a young Wooster than a week spent by the seaside? - Golf and sand-castle building without an aunt in sight!

One may think so, indeed, but the combination of several 'friends' with their own agendas, a theatrical production and the mysterious designs of my very own valet conspired to make that week spent in Spindleythorpe-on-sea one of the most memorable and life-changing of the lot..."

There will be fortune tellers! And Gilbert and Sullivan! And (the chaps are rather glad to hear), plenty of romantic fluffy goodness!

Chapter One - 'Escape and Entrapment'

Chapter Two - 'Drama and Divination'

Chapter Three - 'Predictions and Predilections'

Chapter Four - 'Sentimentality and Subtext'

Chapter Five - 'Review and Rumpus'

Chapter Six - 'Passion and Performance' (Part 1) (Part 2)

Chapter Seven - 'Consolidation and Consummation'
